June 6th – Firepit Sessions #9 w/ Tom Freund & Wally Ingram & Friends

Firepit Sessions- Joshua Tree Night #9 6:00pm Doors Open 7:15pm Tom Freund and Friends 8:45pm Swimm

About this Event

I’ve moved your favorite Los Angeles house concert out to the beautiful high desert in Joshua Tree, CA.

Please visit www.firepitsessions.com for more info on the history of the event.

-NO BAD VIBES, YA DIG?

Mission Statement:

In the spirit of past and future Firepit Sessions, please remember why you are here…. to finally get the chance to WATCH, LISTEN, AND SUPPORT live music in person, and to see and meet new friends in a safe, comfortable and memorable setting.

I initially wanted to sell tickets for about $40 (which was the average price people told me they thought was a fair price for an event like this) but apparently when you sell tickets, the county and insurance companies treat your event much differently, hence the $0 general admission ticket price.

That being said, I highly encourage you to make a $35 suggested donation in addition to your free general admission ticket, or in person at the event. There is a separate “donation only ticket” link in the ticket section. If it’s been a good year for you, please give more and if the year hasn’t been so great, give what you can.

Please rest assured that the money will be going directly to pay the bands and to cover some of the production and venue costs.

WHATS PROVIDED:

About 3 hours of live music on my beautiful and private 2.5 acre property in Joshua Tree. Given the current climate of the world, lineup subject to change. Doors will open one hour before the first set time (typically 6pm)

VIP Porta potty toilets onsite….

Parking Onsite- please drive to the 2nd driveway gate and present your ticket(s) to the door person. You will be directed to park on the property. Please remain parked until the event is over. Please do not park on the street

GENERAL RULES AND OTHER RAMBLINGS:

To help with crowd size control, you MUST have a general admission ticket or be on a band guest list to attend. You should know if you are on “the band list” well before you arrive. Crowd size will be capped to be no larger than 150 total people. Do not bring extra people who do not have tickets. Tickets will only be available at the door if capacity hasn’t been met. Upon arrival, you will be presented a liability waiver to sign before entering the property.

The event will be 100% outdoors. Please dress accordingly and keep in mind temps will drop fast as the sun disappears.

Please respect the natural beauty of the property by throwing away all trash including cigarette butts, not damaging any of the native plants, and respecting all wildlife which might include owls, lizards, turtles ,quail, roadrunners and other desert delights

ALCOHOL – this is a BYOB event. Remember you will be driving out here and Uber/Lyft isn’t a reliable service out in the desert. That being said, if you choose to drink, please do so very responsibly, designate a driver and only bring enough booze for yourself, not the entire party because we still can’t share things like it was 2019.

FOOD – As much as I want to provide food, we just can’t without “the man” from the county saying I need to get a special silly expensive permit. However it’s a great excuse to grab a bite before the show and help support a local business.

NO ONSITE CAMPING– I highly encourage you to camp in the national park (make a reservation ahead of time) or at one of the many campgrounds nearby. Or perhaps treat yourself to one of the many unique Air bnb’s in the area.

NO PETS – I love pets but keep them at home please. We have coyotes in the area and your cute fluffy ball of happiness doesn’t need to be their next meal

NO FIREWORKS– obviously but needs to be said because some people apparently don’t get it how dry a desert is.

COVID SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Upon arrival, you will be asked to submit to a standard forehead temperature check.

For COVID safety, All San Bernadino county rules will be in effect…. which means masks are required.

Please also respect social distance guidelines and do not get too close to the stage. The new PA will be loud enough for you to give the band plenty of space, and the 2.5 acres will allow you to give your fellow attendee plenty of room as well

This is Firepit Sessions, not FYRE Festival. Let’s keep it classy folks, for the greater good of this community and beyond.
